Myra Nissen, a homeopath and Metabolic Balance Coach in Walnut Creek, held an alterations party for her metabolic balance clients on July 11. Many participants in Nissen’s Metabolic Balance program lose weight and so the party was a perfect way for participants to update their wardrobes and meet fellow participants.
Metabolic Balance offers a scientific basis to determine the best foods that one should be eating. Participants in the Metabolic Balance program receive individualized meal and menu plans that include the most wholesome foods that will work best with each person’s metabolism in order to reach optimum health. Each plan is based on the individual’s goals, whether it’s to lose weight, gain weight, or just to be healthier.
For many in Nissen’s program, the goal is to lose weight and because they have successfully achieved this, their clothes needed some nips and tucks, which made Nissen’s alterations party a perfect experience. The event also gave Metabolic Balance participants a chance to meet and learn from others on the plan.
“It always helps me to be amongst people who want to feel good about themselves. Having the opportunity to meet some of Myra’s other clients who are on this wonderful Metabolic Balance Program was refreshing,” said Doris Laux, a Benicia resident who attended the party. “I could tell that everybody was proud of their success.”
Attendees brought clothes and accessories that they no longer wanted or no longer fit them. Elizabeth Daniell, an expert alterations specialist and designer, was on hand to measure for alterations. Everyone left with an outfit.
