Latin is the scientific standard used around the world. Since homeopathy is virtually used in all countries. It makes sense that the classification and naming of the remedies is a universal standard. Samuel Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy, created a book in which he set down the principles and philosophy of homeopathy. It is called The Organon. It is housed at the UCSF Lirbrary.
The fact that homeopathic medicines are prepared in a pharmacy or a laboratory and that their preparation involves a particular technique subject to precise and clearly stated controls (it does not involve mysterious and secret processes which put it into the realm of white magic or alchemy) is enough to convince many people of its validity.
