Every year, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® unites communities across the country to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
On Saturday, May 30, 2009, the City of Benicia hosted its first Relay for Life. The event was held at Benicia High School on 1101 Military West.
I have joined the “Dream Dinners Team,” which raises awareness about the important role of nutrition and healthy lifestyle in fighting disease. The Benicia Relay raised more than $11,500 and the Dream Dinners Team raised over $2,330.
You can still support our efforts to fight back against cancer by making a donation.
