Certification for Homeopaths in the US Meets Federal Accreditation Standards

homeopathic certificationI want to explain a bit more about the certification process for homeopaths in the US. There are many doctors and other types of practitioners using homeopathic remedies in their practice, but have they undergone the riggers of the certification process? Some have but many have not. As a consumer, it is important to understand the difference.

National certification by Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) meets US Federal Government standards established under the US Health Care Reform Act, and further defined through criteria established by the Integrative Healthcare Policy Consortium.

All homeopaths registered with the North American Society of Homeopaths are nationally certified through CHC.

The Accreditation Organization for Homeopathic Colleges (ACHENA) upholds the standards for homeopathy schools established under the US Health Care Reform Act. There are currently four North American homeopathic schools accredited with ACHENA. Homeopathic practitioners qualifying for CHC certification are currently NOT required to have graduated from an accredited homeopathic school.
