This was just released from the Council For Homeopathic Certification (CHC) for the US & Canada.
Since 2006 the CHC has provided the Fast Track Program to enable experienced homeopaths to reach certification more easily. As we move into the future as a profession, it has become apparent that there is a need for CHC certification to reach national standards. To that end, we are applying to the National Commission for Certifying Agency (NCCA) to become the nationally accredited certifying organization for homeopathic practitioners in the United States. This will help bring homeopathy into the mainstream and better establish us as a profession.
NCCA requires that all certificates be awarded on the basis of standardized testing. Since the Fast Track Program does not require its applicants to pass an examination, it does not meet this criterion. As a result, the Fast Track Program will be discontinued as of December 31, 2012. All applications for the Fast Track option must be submitted by that date.
The CHC strongly encourages practicing homeopaths and teachers with at least five years of documented clinical practice to consider this option before it expires. For further information, contact the CHC.
