Enjoy spectacular spring wildflower displays on a leisurely. Stroll through Mitchell Canyon in Mt. Diablo State Park, led by herbalist, Mark Taube, M.T.O.M. We will discuss plant identification and natural history. You will also learn about traditional uses of plants for food and medicine.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. in the garden behind the Mitchell Canyon
The Visitor’s Center, located at the end of Mitchell Canyon Road in Clayton (96 Mitchell Canyon Road) .
Wear sturdy shoes and sun protection. Bring water, sunscreen and a sack lunch, for a picnic at the end of the walk.
It will be busy that day so please allow time to pay for parking $6 (exact change only), by the stop sign at the entrance to the Park. The walk will last about 1 1/2 hours. Bring the family.
